    4C HMC 1 line





    Performs a range of clerical accounting support functions including using specialized ledgers and accounting software to record and process receipts, expenditures and other financial transactions. Responds to inquiries and contacts other departments and outside parties to resolve a variety of issues.




    • Enter financial data in computer system using defined computer programs. 
    • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other financial records.
    • Receive and process deposit activities.
    • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment. 
    • Enter check requests and invoices in accounts payable.
    • Complete intermediate account reconciliations.
    • Perform complex account analysis.
    • Maintain orderly financial filing system.
    • Report any deviations from established accounting procedures or variances in handling monies to department management.
    • Assist management in the training of associates.
    • Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

    • Perform additional tasks as assigned.



    Two years of accounting experience or two years of business concentration in post high school accounting courses or an equivalent combination of the two

    • Ability to read and interpret detailed general ledger accounts.
    • Has knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows with the ability to set up complex worksheets or compose correspondence, labels and envelopes, V-look ups, perform data entry in complex worksheets set up by others and be able to print reports.
    • Ability to read and interpret instructions, policies and procedures
    • Understanding of accounting terminology and functions
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    • Ability to apply basic math skills, (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
    • Ability to focus on details, meet deadlines, and manage time.
    • Has knowledge to read and understand details contained in the printout of a trial balance on a given account
    • Ability to lift and/or move materials weighing up to 10 lbs., and occasionally up to 25 lbs.
