    AAA Hoosier Motor Club, headquartered in Indianapolis, provides membership benefits including emergency roadside assistance, retail discounts and a variety of products and services for its 438,000 members across Indiana. It also operates a full-service travel agency and an insurance agency which markets and sells auto, home and life insurance. Hoosier Motor Club has 300 employees and operates 13 retail branch offices including seven in metro Indianapolis as well as Bloomington, Clarksville, Kokomo, Lafayette, Muncie, and Terre Haute. And it is an affiliate of the American Automobile Association (AAA), the largest motoring and leisure travel organization in North America with more than 58 million members.

     

    Position Summary:

    This position will be responsible for maintaining a broad range of enterprise level servers, storage, security, networking, and PC equipment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all aspects of Windows systems administration, a very strong grasp of networking fundamentals, previous experience supporting medium sized data centers, and an aggressive, detailed approach to problem-solving. Candidates must also demonstrate a strong appreciation for and knowledge of best practices in maintaining a highly secure environment. A strong background in customer service is required. 

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    1. Works independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues.
    2. Takes ownership of the issue analysis and resolution efforts and commits to "doing what it takes" to resolve technical issues. Triaging as necessary for production, QA & development environments.
    3. Designs, tests and implements complex technical solutions and architecture.
    4. Leads and manages system initiatives and new projects.
    5. Works with external vendors/consultants to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution.
    6. Resolves errors and alarms quickly and provides timely escalation.
    7. Completes tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site features and functions.
    8. Helps define and support process improvements.
    9. Contributes to a team environment and shares knowledge with others.
    10. Maintains a flexible schedule, as additional responsibilities may be necessary for partial night shift/weekends and on-call basis.
    11. Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities

     

    Physical Effort:

    1. Typically sitting at a desk or table
    2. Intermittently sitting, standing and stopping
    3. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience Requirements:

    BA Degree recommended or equivalent work experience, at least five years’ experience working in a Microsoft server environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, experience with Citrix a plus and MCSE Preferred.

     

    Computer Skills

    • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft server and storage solutions
    • Experience with server, storage, networking and VMWare systems
